Holyport have been tough and consistent opposition in recent season in the Thames Valley Counties Women's Football League so it was a case of looking for positive improvement going in to this game.
What the management team got was a poor first half where the team sat off and reacted slowly to much around them and were fortunate to only go in at the break 2-0.
It has to be said that the overall improvement in the second half was a joy led by youngster Connie Wilson, Binfield were a different side and had the home side rattled when Nancy Pottinger fired home Wilson's through ball from 12 yards.
Chances continued to fall and go begging but the way the team listened to the half time instructions was incredibly heartening with new signing Fran Batt particularly impressive on her debut.
Holyport ultimately scored late on with the Moles pushing forward but this really was one of those cliched 'game of two halves'.
