Vikings started brightly keeping the ball well and creating good chances early on.Charlie and Guy managed to get shots away narrowly missing the target as Vikings pressed. Opposition team had a few chances but the well organised defence and a couple of solid saves from Harry kept them at bay. Tight quarter.
Vikings were forced to swap goal keeper each quarter to keep the team fresh but this didn't seem to dispute the rhythm. Good team work and assists from Guy and Noah lead to two goals in the quarter, one from Noah and one from Michael. Well deserved.
Jamie moved up top with the job of holding the ball up to link up play. Vikings produced some passages of flowing football which was keen on the eye and confidence was clear to see. Constant pressure meant Vikings won multiple corners and Wolves held strong until Guy whipped in a hard corner kick which fortunately deflected in their own net.
A hard battle was in store for the final quarter but after Harry was taken down on the edge of the area, Guy stepped up to take the free kick. A beautiful top corner strike gave Binfield a further lead. Late on Vikings lost concentration for a brief moment and were punished by a spirited cancelation goal. Charlie produced a good save in the last few seconds to top off a great team display in which all seven members played their socks off.
