Binfiled Stingers v Ashridge Park FC
The final game for the Stingers before breaking for Christmas saw the team taking on Ashridge FC. Ashridge who have had a mixed session with highs and lows where fantastic hosts, welcoming and very good sports a real club feel to the teams.
The stingers seemed to relish the early start time with a very positive start to the game. strong defence and excellent tracking back from Lucie and Luke gave the midfield players Adam, Scott and Sammy the opportunity to spread the width of the pitch and really start to show how much their passing ability has come along over this first section of the session.
The Stinger pushed the ball around extremely well from defence to the striker which help Ollie put in one of his best performances with good skill on the ball and going forward.
Second half was where the Stingers really turn on the talent. With Strike force of Oliver giving the Stinger midfield of William, Lucie and Luke a good target to work the ball up the field and help build some really good football moves. Today saw an overall strong team effort which has become the norm for the Stinger, with an excellent debut for Luke who ran down and tackled every player which came his way.
The game today saw a player move into a new position and really shine, so much that he won MOM, Second Half keeper Ollie, using the whole area and also helping to build soom great football for well placed kicks, well Done Ollie.

Binfield Stingers v Winnersh Rangers Pythons - Saturday 1st October 2011
The newly formed Binfield Stingers continued their successful start to the season with by far their best display of team work so far.
With almost a full strength side the team lined up with, Lewis in Goal, Ollie R and Adam in defence, James, William, Oliver R in Midfield and Scott as striker. Our brand new signing, Sammy, took first turn as substitute. The Game was end to end with plenty of physical action down the middle of the pitch. The rotation system seems to be suiting most players and is giving some of the boys a real chance to find their natural positions. Excellent throw taking from James G, using the space and quick turn round. The second half saw Scott drop back into his preferred holding defence position where he became our rock and created plenty of go forward balls for Ollie R and William to work some of that soccer school passing magic down the centre. Brought back on in the second half Sammy and Lewis made a great impact with their sharp tackling and movement on and off the ball. The players are all starting to show real improvement Adam's off the ball movements are become a real weapon against opposition; Adam also started to see much more of the ball this week, great work.
An extremely even game with a massive amount of energy from the Stingers, everyone came away happy. MOM went to William who didn’t stop tackling, passing and SHOOTING all game, well done.
Saturday 17th September 2011
The newly formed Binfield Stingers continued their successful start to the season with a hard fought game at home to Crusader Kings, due to a few absentees on both sides the game started as a 6v6 and then changed to a 5v5 as an opposition player had to leave at half time!
The team lined up with Oliver in goal with Adam & Ollie in defence, Will, Scotty and Tyrell in midfield. The game was great to watch albeit a bit disjointed on occasions as some great tackles & saves were made by both teams as well as goals a plenty, both teams seemed reluctant to pass given the space that was afforded to themby the lack of numbers on the pitch!
At half time we asked for more discipline in defence as Scotty became a rock which the ‘Kings’ found difficult to break down, when our defence was breeched Oliver R made further good saves but it was going forward where the Stingers found their rhythm as Will, Tyrell, Ollie R & Adam combined to threaten further.
Scotty won MOM for his efforts in defence in the 2nd half, his presence definitely allowed the rest of the outfield players to get forward.
The game finished with several goals for both teams with the Stingers goals seemingly shared between the team, the team is starting to show its promise
Well done boys!
