Binfield Scorpions Vs Woodley Town Saints

Fielding 10 squad players today Binfield Scorpions played a very strong and well organised Woodley team. Joseph Jacobs made an immediate impact in the game scoring one of the quickest goals of the season so far showing great feet and a sublime finish to put the Scorpions on the front foot within 15 seconds.

Following on from their early setback Woodley tried hard to get back into the game but were undone with a piece of Samuel magic soon after. Some great passing and movement from Patrick and Max lead to another goal for the busy Jack Graham towards the end of the first half. Woodley themselves were unlucky not to score in the first half as some great build up play deserved better.

The second half was a closer affair with lots of goalmouth action at both ends. A super long distance free kick effort from Woodley's impressive centre forward hit the top corner of the net giving Luke no chance in the Scorpions goal. Tom and Joseph Smith continued to defend very well in our midfield allowing Nat, Sam, Patrick and Jo to get lots of shots in at our opponents goal. Further goals from Samuel and Jo ensured that the Scorpion coaches, parents and players went home very happy.
