The Team from left to right are, Ieuan, Nat, Lewis, Max, Harrison, Lucy and Oliver
All players have come through our hugely successful Binfield Soccer School.
Pictured above are the mighty Binfield Dragons Under 7 Team who played a wonderful game against California Royals at the weekend (10th September 2011).
This was the team’s first fixture of the season and as such was the first League game ever played by our bright new stars. This was a Section A fixture played away at California’s home ground. There were some tremendous performances from all our players through our 40 minute game which saw both teams working very hard.
Our “man of the match” was Max who showed great tenacity in the tackle and worked hard for all his team mates. Lewis and Nat certainly had their scoring boots on and worked tirelessly all game – Harrison, Oliver, Ieuan and Lucy showed some great touches and didn’t stop putting pressure on our opponents all match. We had a wonderful start to our new season and we must thank our hosts, managed by Darren, for making us all welcome and giving us a day to remember.

Binfield Dragons Under 7's Vs LPL Blue
Our visitors LPL came all the way from Teddington and proved to be a very challenging and well organised team. The Dragons however continued to show that they are a match for any team with a great display of hard work and commitment again and our players and parents have gone home happy again this week.
Some very solid performances from Lewis, Joseph, Oliver and Max made it difficult for our opponents to break us down - Nat playing the first half in goal showed some great courage and stopped a number of chances going in - The second half saw Lucy and Ieuan sharing goalkeeping duties, both showing a great attitude to playing out of position.
Our man of the match Lewis was certainly on fire as he controlled much of the game with his huge work rate and it was very pleasing to see that he was always looking to play the ball to his team mates.
Some great goals for either side made the game a very exciting one for all players and the supporters present.
The Dragons have started the season very well and now look to further develop their football and team skills as the next games will come thick and fast.
Well done to the Dragons on a great performance and result!
