Hi we are the Binfield Wildcats U11's playing in the newly established Berkshire County Girls Football League .

This is our first season registered in a league as last season we played in the North Hants U10's friendly league on a Sunday. We play 7 a side and currently have a squad of 12 girls. Age qualification is currently Year 5 and Year 6 school age. We are always looking for new players to join and are especially on the hunt for a new goalie as this is currently being shared among the squad. It is exciting times for girls football and more opportunities for girls are coming up to attend trial for Development Centres.

Training takes place on a Sunday mornings 10am at Stubbs Lane and all girls under 11 years of age are welcome. We have girls who qualify for an under 9's team but not enough players to make a team yet if anyone is interested in joining or managing an Under 9's team. This was the Wildcats first game of the season and was the first time the new team members had played together. After a slightly wobbly start, with 3 goals scored against them early in the first half, the girls pulled together and worked really hard as a team, and the eventual score did not reflect their efforts.  Despite a number of good runs forward and shots on goal the girls were frustratingly unable to score. However, there were encouraging signs of their potential, with an excellent pair up front and some solid play in midfield and defence.

Our next match is at home on 17th September against Tilehurst Panthers Reds.
