Binfield’s Allied Counties Youth team plays in the Allied Counties Youth Football League, South Division.
The team also plays in the FA Youth Cup, with the first round in September.
Managed by Sandy Morrison and coached by Ellis Woods, the team creates the opportunity for promising players between the age of 16 and 18 to step up to men’s football in the reserves and potentially on into the first team.
The team finished 3rd in the South Division during the 2011/12 and also had a tremendous cup run to the final of the Allied Counties Youth Cup, beating several good sides along the way and only losing to the AC Premier Division champions Maidenhead United to a wonder 30-yard strike 5 minutes from the end. With many of that side reaching 18 during the season, the 2012/13 season’s team will see many new faces.
The team is sponsored by Bloor Homes and is very grateful for Bloor’s third year supporting Youth football at the club.
