Already struggling for a settled back four, the Moles were further hampered by losing Tom Hopper to injury as early as the 16th minute. But with Harry Lee starring at left back, alongside Jeff Brown, Alex Walton and Jake White coming in on the right, the Moles back four were solid in front of Liam Vaughan, who showed no nerves in a good goal keeping performance.

Up front, Liam Ferdinand and Sean Moore always carried a threat when they could get forward and despite Town having many more chances, Ferdinand perhaps came closest to opening the score in the first half, when he latched onto Brad Pagliaroli's pass, turned inside Callum Whitty, but shot at Chris Grace when either side of the Robins keeper may well have found the net. For the Robins, chances came and went with Vaughan out well to save early on and Alex Walton's clearance off the line doing just enough to keep it level at the break.

More of the same in the opening spell of the second half as Town pressed for the opening goal. Harry Lee headed off the line and Vaughan saved well, while the Robins twice headed over from dangerous crosses.

With the hour approaching, a crucial minute changed the game. Ferdinand broke forward onto Grant Kemp's ball and shot just wide across the face of goal, with the Moles clearest chance of the second half. But moments later, the Robins had the lead, when Bohane rounded Vaughan and rolled into an open net, after the Moles lost possession in their own half.

Trying to force their way forward, Binfield made half chances, while the Robins continued to control possession and after the Moles went down to ten men for the last ten minutes, the writing was on the wall and Carl Withers late penalty sealed the Robins success.
