We at Binfield are delighted to say that I have secured the services of a goalkeeping coach for the entire youth section at Binfield.
His name is Dan Lincoln and we can absolutely assure you that we are really, really lucky to have him.
Dan is a professional goalkeeper himself and has played and trained at many professional football clubs. He spent his entire youth career in the Reading Academy and then earned himself two concurrent professional contracts there, representing Reading 1st team on many occasions.
He also spent a couple of seasons with Arsenal and has been at other pro clubs. He can boast his training partners to include the likes of Petr Cech and other Arsenal 1st team goalkeepers, Adam Federici and Alex McCarthy who was in the latest England Squad.
This is an amazing opportunity for all the young goalkeepers at Binfield and should be promoted strongly throughout the age groups. It is also something that is very rare at other grass roots football clubs and another reason that sets Binfield out as a great club to be part off.
We can 100% guarantee that all the goalkeepers that take part in these sessions will improve massively as a result and they will be getting coaching that you would otherwise be paying a fortune for.
Sessions will run on a Sunday morning at our fantastic new training facility, Kings Academy.
We will be looking at running two sessions, one at 9am and one at 10am with the youngest age groups at 9am and the older ones at 10am. These sessions will commence this coming Sunday 23rd September.
This will clearly take a few weeks to gain full momentum, but it is important that we get keepers along to these sessions from this week.
It is vital that we understand how many children will be at each session. As this develops, Dan will manage this himself and will keep a register and communicate directly with the goalkeepers parents/coaches.
If you'd like your child to be a part of this please email PClayton@ncrc.co.uk with the details of your child's name, age and which session they should be a part of.
