After Thursday night's narrow 1-0 home defeat to a late goal against a physical Slimbridge side, the Moles returned to Hill Farm Lane for another Hellenic premier league game against Flackwell Heath.

Binfield had enforced changes and youth team players Jordan Rowland & Jake Butler both started & 16 year old Seb Bowerman earned a place on the bench.

The game was played on a hard surface & the players must be complimented on a fantastic game played in a decent spirit by two teams with a mutual respect for each other after 3 other meetings this season.

Ian Davies put Binfield a goal up after neat set up play from Carl Davies on 17 mins & the moles looked comfortable until a defensive mix up saw Flackwell striker Riccardo Cannon equalised on 22 after he capitalised on a header that didn't have enough on it to get back Dan Weait

However 3 minutes later Ian Davies scored his 100th goal for Binfield, from just 110 appearances, after a superb left footed cross from 17 year old Rowland which Davies guided home 2-1 & that's the way it stayed till half time.

The second half saw Binfield have a clear chance to increase the lead through Ian Davies when through one on one but the Flackwell keeper stopped smartly, then Flackwell were awarded a disputed penalty on 70 mins when most thought the foul was outside the area, Crane converted sending Weait the wrong way 2-2.

Binfield introduced 16 year old Seb Bowerman from the talented youth team & then had chances from Jake Butler who saw a shot blocked from 8 yards & a brilliant James Suarez chip from the edge of the area hit the angle of bar & post & come out before Flackwell had a chance brilliantly saved by Weait late on. So a 2-2 draw was a fair reflection of things in the end.

Moles boss Mark Tallentire was happy with a point as well as having 3 youth team players on the pitch at the end.

The Moles return to Hill Farm Lane on Tuesday to play Oxford City Nomads who today beat Ardley 7-1. Get down to see a great footballing side visit.
