Loren Cardy and Dionne Hodges on target for Binfield
By Tom Canning
Pair score the Lady Moles first ever competitive goals.
A match of mixed emotions for the Lady Moles - on the one hand scoring the first competitive goals for the club while on the other letting a 2-0 lead slip.
There were debuts for Dionne Hodges
from the under 18s as well as Jess Nosal and Jodie Coston with all three making positive contributions to the match.
It was Loren Cardy
though who opened the scoring after just 2 minutes with a trademark cool finish and Hodges made it 2-0 a few minutes later with one of the easiest finishes she'll ever have.
A goal kick found her on the 18 yard box and she coolly converted.
Woking pulled themselves together after that though pulling two back before half time and putting the game out of reach in the second half.
There were still chances for Binfield though with Ariesha Stephenson-Lewis
striking the post and Connie Wilson
unable to direct the rebound.
The match soured at the end with a confrontation between players but the learning curve for Binfield is steep and they will have to step up again on Sunday when they play a good Holyport side.
